This Easter at the Collective we will bring together two powerful freedom stories - the Exodus and the resurrection of Jesus - to proclaim a truth we still need to hear: God is in the business of breaking people free. Free from fear. Free from domination. Free from systems that tell us our worth is measured by power, productivity, or profit.
On Easter, we’ll explore how Jesus’ resurrection isn’t just about life after death, but about life right now. Like the Exodus, resurrection is a collective event. It is God moving people out of bondage and into new possibilities. In raising Jesus, God exposes the limits of every empire and every system that claims ultimate authority over our lives.
Easter reminds us who we really are - we are God’s beloved children, marked in baptism, claimed by love, and called into a new way of living together.
This is the hope of Easter: resurrection isn’t only something we believe in—it’s something we’re invited to help create, here and now.
